Maple Production

In New York State many people with an interest, a little knowledge and the proper equipment can create a maple syrup product.  However, creating a high quality product for resale is where the Cornell Sugar Maple Research & Extension Program can assist you.  The Cornell Sugar Maple Research & Extension Program provides activities, information and research projects on maple production.

The Cornell Sugar Maple Program works to improve the production and use of maple products by working with producers, consumers and others.

Chenango County typically offers two maple workshops throughout the year.  In the fall months Chenango County CCE works to put on a fall maple tour and in the spring Chenango County teams with Steve Childs and Mike Ferrell to put on a maple workshop.

Please visit the Cornell Sugar Maple Program website for accurate and up to date information on maple production.
