4-H Outdoor Adventure: Survival Skills Challenge

Imagine you’re lost in the woods—what will you eat, how will you prepare a shelter, how will you stay warm?

Join us June 26th, 2021, at Millbrook Town Park, in New Berlin, for the third 4-H Survival Skills Challenge!

What is the challenge?! Imagine you were lost in the wilderness, what would you need to do to survive? 4-H'ers will work in teams of 4 and rotate through the different challenge stations to test their skills.

Each team will have a coach with them, to help them get to correct stations and with time management and to encourage team members to work together. Open to 4-H youth ages 10 and up. Free to enroll in 4-H (see below)

Event Schedule:

8:45am-9:00am Registration

9:00am-9:30am Orientation (brief overview of equipment & tips for the day)

9:30am-1:00pm Skills Challenge Stations

1:00pm-1:30pm Lunch, please pack a bag lunch.

1:35pm Awards

NEW THIS YEAR: We will be holding 2 optional programs, prior to Survival Skills, at the Rogers Center, for kids that want to learn more about shelter building, fire building and basic orienteering & compass use.

June 10th, 4pm to 5pm, Mini Geocache/basic compass use. 

June 13th, 1pm to 3pm, Shelter Build & Fire Building.

$5 per youth by June 4th, $2.50 late fee after June 4th.
